Class started off with Ms. Nakada explaining to us that we have a book report due this Friday, that we all completely forgot about. After that, Paola read her blog, and we corrected it, too. Paola chose me to do the blog😠. While I started to write the blog, Ms. Nakada told a few students to grab an iPad, and do an AR Test. Ms. Nakada then checked our reading journals to make sure we got a parent signature. 

After reader's workshop and getting our reading journals checked, we got some extra time to finish our introduction from yesterday. Someone asked about our novel that we are going to write, and Ms. Nakada told us we have to write 20,000 words, which is about like 100 pages. We then started a new prompt: "After listening to "Blue Jeans and White t-Shirts" or "Fast Car" write about how one song uses word choice to create a similar tone as The Outsiders. Ms. Nakada then played both the songs for the class, so we can listen to the lyrics and compare it to The Outsiders. 

A few people asked to be put in the blog, so here you go: Caleb, Paola, Lily, Angel, and Natalia. Also, Nylah (Mr. Perez's daughter), because she is next!!!!
