RJ 5.3 Read for 20-30
minutes and record.
Jaiden started off the class by reading her blog. It was really good. She chose me because I asked her to. The kids who still hadn't finished their Star Tests went and got iPads. We then started reader's workshop, while Ms. Nakada checked our Reading Journals.
After that, our quiz for The Outsiders was passed out. Let's just say I didn't do well on that. So, Ms. Nakada said if we lost some points, we could earn them back by taking out a piece of notebook paper.
Thank god for that. I'm starting to feel that my blog isn't going to be very long, so sorry for that.
Once were done with that, we took out our English notebooks. In our Table of Contents, we wrote Essay Basics for page 10. There are two kinds of paragraphs: introductions/conclusions, and body paragraphs.
1. Introductions
A. Thesis Statement-states your claim
B. Provide reasoning
C. Lead hook question-fact-statistic-description
Those are the notes we took for class. While everyone left for nutrition, I was stuck here writing this blog. So, as per usual Caleb asked to be in the blog, so here you go. Also, Paola it's you're turn to do the blog.
