We started off the day by coming into class and David read his blog. We then corrected it as a class, and he chose me to do the blog for today. The class started to take out their binder reminders, and write down the agenda and homework for tonight. The class then had to finish correcting the blog in their English journals.

After, the class began to write the quote, question, and song for this week. The quote was "If you do not answer the noise and urgency of your gifts, they will turn on you. Or drag you down with their immense sadness at being abandoned." It was written by Joy Harjo. We discussed what it meant, and then moved on to the question. The question was "Is it offensive for sports teams to use Native Americans as mascots, and why?" We talked about different school mascots and asked if they were offensive. Lastly, we listened to the song which was "Hawai'i 78"  by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. He also goes by IZ.

Everyone began to get their Inktober journals out and draw for the prompt today. The word was enchanted. We also got to catch up for the drawings over the weekend and catch up with our English journals. For the rest of the time in class, we started to watch The Outsiders, but we also were packing up for a fire drill. I think it might be because of the laminator.

The class was pretty silent until the fire alarm rang, and everyone got up to go to the field. We didn't get through much of the movie, so we are going to watch the rest tomorrow. This part is for Nylah and Caleb ;)
