"What's Missing..."
TKAM book v. movie
HW:
RJ 6.2 Read for 20-30 min.
So, the bell rang, and the class started. Liv then slowly walked up to the front of the class to read her blog. Even though she was kind of quiet, her blog was really good. Good job Liv. :) Soon after, we had a short conversation about Ms. Nakada's billboard. It turns out there is more than one of them.
We then read "What's Missing..." It was an article about the Presidents such as Washington and Madison, slavery, and hypocrisy. After we read the article we filled out a half sheet of paper that had the A.C.E. strategy on it. When we finished filling them out, Ms. Nakada collected the papers.
After all the papers were collected, Ms. Nakada turned on TKAM. I really like this movie so far, even though it's in black and white. We resumed the movie, where we left off. The last part that we saw was when Atticus killed the dog. I'm pretty sure it had rabies. Atticus had a talk with Scout about how she shouldn't fight people. That day Scout made a promise not to fight people at school. Then, Scout and Jem found a these two dolls in a tree, one was a girl and the other was a boy. All of a sudden an old man came up to the tree and started filling the hole with what looked like cement. They quickly ran away. Then, Jem showed Scout this box, it was filled with all sorts of stuff, like pins and a compass. He said that he found all of those things in the tree where they found the dolls, but at different times. The bell rang and Ms. Nakada paused the movie. Everyone got up, and left the class.

Also, I thought that I should put a wonderful picture of Ms. Nakada's billboard into the blog as well.
