Q-Q-Song

Literature Circle Update

HW: RJ 2.1 read for 20-30 minutes

Okay, I'm gonna make this blog short.

To start off class, we read Natalia's blog. It was, well, interesting. But good I guess. Then, she was going to chose Guillermo, but changed her mind and picked me. Why? I have no clue. But here I am.

After, we did Quote-Question-Song. The quote was: "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy." - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The question was: Why is it important for people to take a stand? Then, the song of the week was a podcast called: "Lift Every Voice and Sing" The Black National Anthem. (I really need to get some new transitions.) Actually, it was a podcast on that specific song.

I looked over at Daniel and saw Natalia randomly throwing punches at him. Don't worry Ms. Nakada, she didn't hit him. But Daniel, you really gotta clap back.

Anyways, Jonathan's favorite lyrics were "Lift Every Voice and Sing." Surprising.

After, we updated the literature circle summaries.

But then class ended. The people who wanted to be in the blog are: Daniel, Mado, Nylah, Natalia, Paola, Jaiden, Kayla, Guillermo, and without him even being there, Caleb.

Daniel finally found out what a bean is. According to Jaiden it's a miniature coconut. Natalia is a big dweeb for not picking Guillermo.
