I didn't want to do the blog today, but Paola picked me to do it. Class started off with us going over the question, quote, and song of the week. The quote of the week was "The measure of any society is how it treats its women and girls," said by Michelle Obama. I don't remember what the class was saying about the quote because I wasn't paying attention. After going over the quote, the class went over the question of the week.

The question was "How is language shifting to become more gender inclusive?" After the class went over the question, Ms. Nakada played "Flawless" by Beyoncé. I think she played the clean version, because when the song started playing, it didn't sound right. The class discussed what the song was about, and started writing down their favorite lyrics.

After doing all of that, Ms. Nakada told people to make a pile of their reading journals. After that, everyone started working on their essay prep. While people were working on their essay prep, Ms. Nakada went around checking reading journals. I'm ending my blog here, since there's nothing really going on.
